On May 3, 2019, The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Southern California Chapter, will host an elegant night of fundraising, awards and special keynote speakers.

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 18, 2019) –– The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Southern California Chapter, will host an elegant night of fundraising, awards and special keynote speakers.  Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director, John Brennan, and former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director, James Comey, will discuss “The Power of Mindful Leadership” at the Annual Gala Dinner and Pro Bono Auction.  During the organization’s 24th Annual Awards Gala to be held in Los Angeles on May 3, 2019, ACC Southern California will honor the in-house legal departments at The Walt Disney Company with “2019 Diversity Counsel of the Year” and AT&T Mobility & Entertainment ‐ El Segundo with “2019 Pro Bono Counsel of the Year”.

"Each year we are excited to honor our local in-house legal departments for their commitment to excellence at our annual gala,” said Kobie Conner, President of the Southern California Chapter of ACC. “This year is no different, these two companies have led the way in our legal community, and it is great to see them recognized in front of thousands at the gala for all they have done.”

Presented by Ogletree Deakins and Rutan & Tucker, we are pleased to announce the 2019 Award winners:

  • 2019 Diversity Counsel of the Year Award: The Walt Disney Company Legal Department
  • 2019 Pro Bono Counsel of the Year Award: AT&T Mobility & Entertainment ‐ El Segundo Legal Department

Additionally, ACC Southern California will raise funds during the gala with a Silent Auction for the Pro Bono efforts of Public Counsel. ACC Southern California organizes opportunities for members to serve the community throughout the year in conjunction with Public Counsel, such as citizenship clinics, nonprofit clinics, small business clinics, guardianship clinics, and mentorship programs.
