Yoga and Pilates Recorded Sessions featuring instructors from The Houstonian Hotel

STRETCH & BREATHE with Misha Laird
What you’ll need:  a open floor space and possibly a towel

Class length:  45-minute practice.

Start and stay close to the floor in this mellow practice.  Stretch the body in doable ways to soothe the back, neck and shoulders.  End with a short, delicious nap.

REVIVE WITH YOGA with Misha Laird
What you’ll need:  a open floor space and possibly a few yoga blocks

Class length:  45-minute practice.

An all-purpose practice that links beginner-friendly traditional postures in a soul-reviving sequence.  Options to level up or down available throughout to let the practice meet you where you are.  End with a moment of rest before returning to your day!

MISHA LAIRD BIO
Misha Laird, 500hr ERYT, and the Houstonian Club's Yoga Program Coordinator, holds space for those who want to feel better and is committed to the simple path of movement and mindfulness.  She is often tickled pink when her students leave class looking 10 years younger than when they arrived.  Teaching since 1995, local yoga master Robert Boustany fundamentally shaped Misha’s understanding of yoga with Jonny Kest adding a layer of influence through his magical flow classes.

Pilates: Fun Fundamentals! with Katrina Ellsworth
What you’ll need:  a open floor space and possibly a towel

Learn about the "Pilates Principles" of Control, Concentration, Centering, Breath, Precision and Flow through this 45 minute Pilates mat class. Participants will learn all about core engagement and form, which they can translate into ANY fitness class for a more effective workout!

Katrina Ellsworth Bio:
Katrina has been a trainer for 13 years! She has a 500 hour Pilates Certification through "Stillpoint Pilates” (Peak Pilates) in Austin, Texas. She also holds certifications and/or training in the Aerial Silk Sling, TRX, Kinesis, Powerplate, and Juvoboard.  When she isn’t teaching, she’s on stage acting. Katrina graduated from the American Musical and Dramatics Academy in New York, NY and has many stage and film credits to her name.
