ACC-LA is the Louisiana chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and is devoted solely to providing information and educational and networking opportunities to in-house attorneys. ACC-LA represents the interests of over 155 in-house attorneys throughout Louisiana. CLE Credits
Through our regularly-scheduled luncheon CLE programs, members can obtain all yearly CLE requirements - including 8.5 hours of in-person programming, in compliance with Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) MCLE requirements, and 1.0 hours of Ethics and 1.0 hours of Professionalism, tailored to the in-house practitioner at nominal cost. Under LSBA regulations, credits for attendance at "computer-based courses" - including live courses where you can interact with the presenter online - is limited to four (4.0) hours per year. ACC-LA's luncheon CLE programs are a perfect way to remain current on emerging legal issues relevant to in-house counsel as well as meet annual Louisiana continuing education requirements.

Professional Networking
Through our networking functions, ACC-LA members have the opportunity to meet other in-house counsel and enjoy social functions. Admission to the functions is complimentary for members thanks to sponsorship of these events by premier local, regional and national law firms and/or legal support service providers. Past events have included suite-level tickets to New Orleans Saints games, Mid-Summer Casual Cocktails and our annual Year-End Chapter Holiday Party.

Philanthropy
ACC-LA supports non-profit causes such as The Pro-Bono Project by providing patron level sponsorship of its annual fundraiser "The Justice for All Ball." ACC-LA is also an annual sponsor of the DiversiTea Divas Legal Tea Talk, which is designed to introduce young, diverse women interested in law school to practicing female lawyers and judges to discuss the rewards and difficulties of being a woman in this field.
