ACC GREATER PHILADELPHIA CHAPTER
2026 DIVERSITY CORPORATE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION

The Association of Corporate Counsel of Greater Philadelphia is proudly sponsoring its nineteenth annual Diversity Corporate Summer Internship Program! This award-winning Program aims to increase diversity of all kinds in corporate legal departments.

Interns work full-time as paid summer interns in corporate legal departments of participating employers. They perform a variety of tasks, including legal research, memo writing, contract drafting, and attend internal and external meetings. In addition to the internship, Program participants are matched with a mentor and attend networking and social events throughout the summer to meet other interns and ACC members. Interns also participate in at least one pro bono volunteer event, typically with the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.

Check out this VIDEO for more information.

Please read through these instructions and FAQs carefully. If you have further questions, contact our committee chairs Allyson Levy and Katherine Puccio with any additional questions by emailing ACCGP.Internship@gmail.com.

Additionally, we will be available via ZOOM at on  the following dates to answer any questions:

  • December 8, 2025 @ 12pm-1pm
  • December 15,2025 @ 12pm-1pm
  • January 5, 2026 @ 3pm-4pm

Program Duration & Stipend Information: The Program runs from early June 2026 through late July. Participating employers provide a minimum stipend of $8,000.

Eligibility: The Program is open to rising 2Ls and 3Ls who: (i) are a member of a group traditionally underrepresented in the law or (ii) have overcome a significant social or economic hardship to become a law student, and who have an interest in working in-house in a corporate law department in the Greater Philadelphia area after graduation.

Application Process: You must submit your written application, including your transcript, by January 12, 2026. CLICK HERE to begin your application. The ACCGP Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee reviews all applications and matches qualified interns with sponsoring employers. Sponsoring employers conduct their own interviews but do not require a separate application. Employers make offers directly to candidates.

What companies are participating in the program this year? ACCGP is finalizing 2026 sponsoring employers. Past participants include Saint-Gobain Corporation, Cigna, Quaker Houghton, Merck, Wawa, Inc., Teleflex Incorporated, National Board of Medical Examiners, Burlington, Marlette Holdings, Inc. d/b/a Best Egg, and Toll Brothers.

Can I request to interview with a specific sponsoring company? No. For program administration reasons and in the interest of fairness, the Committee does not take placement requests for candidates.

What happens if I accept an offer from a sponsoring company but then later receive an offer or request to interview from another sponsoring company? Once you accept an offer from a sponsoring company, you are not permitted thereafter to interview with or accept an offer from another sponsoring company. Withdrawing one accepted offer in favor of a perceived "better offer" within the program will not be permitted.

Will the internship lead to a full-time job offer? Generally, you should not expect an offer of full-time employment once your internship concludes. Most corporate legal departments do not hire graduates directly out of law school.

In the event that you no longer intend to participate in the program after you have submitted an application, please notify the ACCGP Office via email that you are withdrawing your application as soon as possible.
