Legal Innovator of the Year

Summary: An individual or team who introduced and championed significant innovation through their role as an in-house counsel or in-house legal team: whether in the areas of thought leadership, legal operations, technology, substantive law, or ways of working that resulted in Legal Innovation. 

Eligibility: Any team or individual who is responsible primarily for the in-house legal operational function or has driven change through their role/team in their organisation.

Judging Criteria

• Demonstrated excellence in idea generation and concept creation of innovative initiative(s) involving thought-leadership, legal operations, technology, substantive law or ways of working. 
• Demonstrated excellence in implementing and embedding innovative initiative(s) involving thought-leadership, legal operations, technology, substantive law or ways of working. 
• Demonstrated excellence in showing leadership and influence in driving progress in innovative endeavours within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
• Evidence of a significant positive impact of innovative initiatives on the success in meeting strategic and operational objectives, championing the legal innovation and transforming the culture of the team and broader organisation.
