LEGAL INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR

Sponsored by:

Kristen Porter

KRISTEN PORTER,

GROUP GENERAL COUNSEL, DEXAR GROUP

Kristen Porter can’t help but innovate. After going through several notifiable data breaches, Kristen saw that there was a better, more efficient way of assessing a data breach and reporting it. As it is procedural in nature, Kristen designed and built Pria Privacy, the privacy bot that can assess whether an organisation’s data breach is notifiable, and if it is, it can then prepare the notifications for you. Pria Privacy saves businesses time and money, and removes the need for a lawyer in the process, freeing up the in-house legal team's time to focus on higher value work.

Kristen always finds better ways of doing things. If a task or process can be made more efficient, she will not only design the ‘better way’, but she will implement it with lightening speed. Kristen also rolled out a training program to educate not only her organisation, but the industry more generally to lift their baseline of knowledge and protect them from huge fines as a real estate agent’s data base is their livelihood.
