In brief, pro bono means “for the public good”. In the legal context it generally means the provision of legal services on a free or significantly reduced fee basis, with no expectation of a commercial return.
As lawyers, we are trained to read and interpret complex documents and navigate situations that can be foreign and intimidating. Now, more than ever, there are people that need legal help and cannot afford it. Use your legal skills to help someone who may not otherwise get help.
