This is a great opportunity to reconnect with peers in our chapter and meet new friends. All are welcome, including allies. Also, Dacha Beer Garden is pet friendly if you want to bring along your dog as they can be allies, too.

*All attendees are required to comply with ACC NCR's COVID-19 Duty of Care.

The Federal Trade Commission issued a proposed rule that would broadly ban the use of noncompete agreements between employers and their workers. In addition, the FTC is cracking down on companies that are abusing noncompetes, including filing complaints against companies requiring low-wage workers to sign noncompetes. This proposed rule further casts the spotlight on noncompetes, which were already under assault by state legislators around the country. The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Berman Fink Van Horn P.C.  whose attorneys, Benjamin Fink and Neal Weinrich, will present “The FTC Proposed Ban On Noncompetes: What You Need To Do Now.” This presentation will discuss the implications of the FTC’s proposed rule, the likelihood it will be implemented, what challenges the rule may face, as well as the status of state-level efforts around the country to regulate the use of noncompetes. Come learn everything you need to know to protect the competitive edge of your company!

Troutman Pepper’s Appellate + Supreme Court practice will discuss the most important cases from the U.S. Supreme Court in the current term, including cert petitions to watch, constitutional law, elections, administrative agencies, labor & employment, business associations, intellectual property, and securities.  The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Troutman Pepper, whose presenters, Justice Harold Melton, Misha Tseytlin, and Elizabeth Holt Andrews will provide an overview of what you can expect to see at the top of the news and discuss key litigation shaping the national dialogue this year.

CLE credit of 1.0 hour is being applied for and, if approved, will be submitted to the State Bar of Georgia for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

If you are a General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer, we'd love to have you to join us for our next GC/CLO Lunch Club gathering of 2023. We will be meeting at Eddie V's Prime Seafood in King of Prussia, where the luncheon discussion of "The Impact of M&A on Your Company" will be moderated by Michael Yecies from Continental AG. There is no charge for GC/CLO chapter members to attend this luncheon, but pre-registration is required.

Employers have been hit with a host of legal and economic ailments over the past two years. From debilitating labor shortages and employees’ acute wage sensitivity, to nagging employee demands and constant legislative changes, it may feel like your labor and employment health will never recover. However, like all health concerns, proactive preventive measures can be the best medicine in your workplace first aid kit. Join FordHarrison partners Tammie Rattray and Chris Johnson for an in-depth look at recent developments and emerging concerns in employment law and traditional labor.
