Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Georgia

The Federal Trade Commission issued a proposed rule that would broadly ban the use of noncompete agreements between employers and their workers. In addition, the FTC is cracking down on companies that are abusing noncompetes, including filing complaints against companies requiring low-wage workers to sign noncompetes. This proposed rule further casts the spotlight on noncompetes, which were already under assault by state legislators around the country. The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Berman Fink Van Horn P.C.  whose attorneys, Benjamin Fink and Neal Weinrich, will present “The FTC Proposed Ban On Noncompetes: What You Need To Do Now.” This presentation will discuss the implications of the FTC’s proposed rule, the likelihood it will be implemented, what challenges the rule may face, as well as the status of state-level efforts around the country to regulate the use of noncompetes. Come learn everything you need to know to protect the competitive edge of your company!

CLE credit of 1.0 hour is being applied for and, if approved, will be submitted to the State Bar of Georgia for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

While we understand that some "no shows" are unavoidable, we kindly ask that you please consider our speaker and hosts who have spent a considerable amount of time and resources to put this event on for you before deciding not to attend.  Good attendance helps ensure that ACC Georgia can continue to offer CLE programming and networking events at no cost to our ACC Georgia members.
