Please join us March 16th for CLE Webinar: "Cross-Border & International Data Privacy Issues" presented by, Gowling WLG.

DATE:  March 16, 2021
TIME: 11:00 am - 12:00 p.m. CT
FORMAT: Live Webinar

TOPIC:  Cross-Border & International Data Privacy Issues:   In many jurisdictions, changes in privacy law were common throughout 2020. This gave rise to new concerns and compliance issues for companies doing business abroad. In this session, we'll review what's changed in several jurisdictions (from the EU's Schrems II decision, to the proposed changes to Canada's PIPEDA) and discuss what these changes mean for American companies and the lawyers who advise them.

Join your ACC MN colleagues for an exclusive, virtual Spy Museum Party on Thursday, March 18, at 5:00 PM CT.

Did someone say tales of spies from the secret files of the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC? Yes, please! Members of the Spy Museum’s exhibitions team will be there to share some of their favorite spy stories and to answer any spy-related questions you have.

Disguises are optional, but if you want to really get into the Spy spirit, come undercover or in a look inspired by your favorite spy—our handlers will see if they can spot you!

BYOB. (We recommend that you try a Maple Old Fashioned.)

This entertaining and informative event is limited to 62 participants, and attendees must register by March 10. To ensure that we have space for everyone who wants to participate, please register only if you are CERTAIN you'll attend on March 18.

Thanks to our sponsor, Robins Kaplan LLP!

2021 has been a tremendously challenging period for companies navigating the multitude of uncertain events that have affected the workplace. At the forefront are questions regarding employment implication of Covid and what lies ahead. This program will provide legal and practical tools to answer some of today's most pressing issues.

We will discuss:

Pandemic-related employment issues including hiring and onboarding issues and increased requests for work-from-home accommodations, as well as the positives and negatives of workplace culture changes and new customs.

Diversity and Inclusion issues that companies are encountering, including pandemic bias, productivity challenges and employee burnout, racial and civil unrest, and related tensions at work.

A preview of employment law and related issues that are on the horizon as we continue through the pandemic and beyond, including legal and practical issues related to vaccine mandates, return to work policies and best practices, and challenges for parents and caretakers.
