Join us for an overview of Illinois and federal laws surrounding best practices in hiring decisions related to criminal background checks, credit checks, drug testing, salary history and use of social media information. In addition, we will discuss pitfalls employers often face in hiring as well as when and how they can use available information in a way that follows current laws.

The COVID vaccine is expected to become available to more of the workforce in the coming months.  Employers are facing an array of issues to consider when implementing vaccination-related policies.  Although mandatory vaccination policies may be legal if worded properly, implementing such policies can prove challenging, at least in the near term.  In this webinar, our panelists will discuss relevant factors that employers may want to consider when implementing vaccination policies, such as whether they should be voluntary, mandatory, or some hybrid of both, as well as maintaining employee morale, handling enforcement issues, and managing accommodation requests. This webinar will also cover practical issues regarding distribution of the vaccine, the administrative burden of implementing a new policy, and the costs associated with vaccinating employees.
