Tim focuses his practice on employee benefits, specifically Affordable Care Act compliance, data privacy and security, and benefit plan administration. His clients range from closely held to publicly traded companies. They include the U.S. divisions of global companies in industries ranging from insurance and other financial services to manufacturing, and from pharmaceuticals to retailers and wholesalers and transportation.

Norma advises employers in all aspects of the employment relationship. She regularly counsels human resources professionals and in-house counsel on sick leave, unemployment, wage and hour issues, employment policies, employee handbooks, compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, and terminations. She provides management and non-management training on discrimination, harassment and workplace violence in English and Spanish.

Tim represents employers in employment and labor law matters. He litigates and counsels numerous clients on issues related to compliance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Older Worker Benefit Protection Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Tim has secured over 30 summary judgment rulings in favor of employers in employment litigation cases. He also advises clients and litigates cases involving the Fair Labor Standards Act and comparable state laws. Tim also has substantial jury trial experience in federal and state courts across the county.
