Risk.  It is inevitable, but most often not properly evaluated due to the impression that there is not enough time to evaluate risk.  This results in costly mistakes that could have been prevented because uninformed decisions were made attempting to mitigate the wrong risk.

Join us on February 5th for Cubeta Law Group's panel discussion on the data points you need to know to help you quickly make critical business decisions:

  • Essential data points you need to determine before making any critical decision;
  • Strategies for using your risk knowledge to benefit your company;
  • Examples of the costs of not properly evaluating risk; and,
  • Practical tools to help you lead practical discussions about risk with key business stakeholders.

Join us for cocktails in the recently opened Frost Tower where we will present the Norton Rose Fulbright 2019 Litigation Trends Annual Survey.

As the longest running survey of its kind, this year's survey features perspectives from 287 US corporate counsel, where respondents stated they foresee an economic downturn that will lead to a rise in disputes. Many companies, the survey found, have begun taking preventative steps to manage the increased risk posed by the growing number of disputes.

A roundtable of panelists will discuss the trends they see impacting their business and how in-house counsel can respond.  Click HERE to access the report.

We will also hear a special presentation from Kyle H. Dreyer, the Executive Program Coordinator for Baylor Law's Executive LL.M. in Litigation Management, on the necessity of a framework for effective Litigation Management.

We hope you can join us for cocktails, an in-depth discussion and a special peek at the new Frost Building in downtown San Antonio.

Parking in the attached Frost Tower garage will be validated.

It is estimated that this July, 50,000 people will descend upon Milwaukee and the surrounding area for the Democratic National Convention (DNC) – and all eyes will be on Milwaukee and Wisconsin.  What does this mean for employers, the state of Wisconsin and you as In-house counsel?  The ACC-WI has teamed up with sponsor firms to create a DNC Series to help navigate this unique event.

Please join us for the first installment in our complimentary DNC Series: "Preparing Your Company for the DNC: Employment Issues” presented by Platinum Sponsor, Ogletree Deakins.

Join us for this timely webinar as we explore the employment issues associated with being the host state for the DNC.  Topics will include the following:

  • Independent contractor status
  • Joint-employment relationships
  • Political protections for employees
  • Discrimination issues
  • Wage and hour and payroll considerations

Ransomware events have risen significantly over the past couple of years.  This has forced organizations across all industries to quickly make difficult decisions regarding (i) how to best respond to and recover from a ransomware incident; (ii) when to pay a ransom demand; (iii) how to pay a ransom demand; (iv) when to involve law enforcement; and (v) how to comply with potential legal obligations arising from the incident.  This session will address these issues and others based on the speakers’ real world experience working on ransomware matters.
