Join us for this rewarding and family-friendly volunteer activity. We will partner with the not-for-profit Harvest Crops and pick fruit from orange, grapefruit, and tangelo trees at a private residence in Lemon Grove, with the fresh produce going to low-income San Diego residents. Harvest Crops provides ladders, buckets, harvest poles, and gloves, but if you have your own gardening gloves, please bring them. Volunteers are encouraged to wear lightweight, protective clothing (long sleeve shirts and jeans to avoid scratches) and close-toed shoes.

To respect the privacy of the home-owner, we will meet first at the Carl’s Jr. Parking Lot (in rear), 7162 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945 (behind McDonald’s), where we will have a light breakfast and brief orientation. Then, we will caravan over to the residence. Children of all ages are welcomed with parental supervision.

Effective January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act imposed a new data privacy paradigm that reaches well beyond California.  Your company is almost certainly a “Business” or a “Service Provider” under the CCPA, and it may be both.  Join us to discuss particular contracting requirements imposed by CCPA, as well as best practices to consider for Businesses or Service Providers trying to minimize liability.
