Join us for an interactive presentation and discussion with a team of M&A and transactional disputes lawyers from K&L Gates LLP on navigating certain components of a transaction and how they can resurface during post-transaction disputes.  Topics to be addressed will include how choice of law and venue can impact availability of claims and timeline for the same; potential discoverability of due diligence and other transaction-related communications; unintentional waivers of privilege; enforceability of non-compete covenants included in the transaction; and any others you would like to submit during the registration process. Recreate Manhattan’s first recorded murder trial of Levi Weeks for the untimely death of the twenty-one-year-old Elma Sands on December 22, 1799, which still haunts the streets of New York and a well near Spring Street. Hear the frightening story from key witnesses, including the accused Levi Weeks, the famous defense counsel (Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr), and the prosecutor and decide who was responsible for Elma’s death.
