AZA Presents: Better Call...AI? How In-House Counsel Can Keep Outside Counsel Out of Trouble

Artificial intelligence offers powerful tools for lawyers, but it also introduces ethical pitfalls that in-house counsel must anticipate. This program will explore issues such as fake or AI-generated case citations, inadvertent disclosure of confidential client information, and the importance of clear engagement agreements as they relate to AI. Attendees will gain practical strategies for guiding outside counsel to harness AI responsibly while avoiding professional responsibility violations. By examining real-world scenarios and emerging best practices, participants will leave better equipped to uphold their ethical duties in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
