Change is hard and, as in-house counsel, you are pulled in many directions.  Buy-in on anything from new technologies to new or improved processes often feels impossible.

This course will remind you that sometimes you need to slow down to speed up.  Adopting these process-improvement disciplines will enable you and your team to efficiently move through the steps of identifying, analyzing, and improving existing processes.  Then, change-management techniques can help with communicating the impacts of those improvements to all those who are directly impacted in a way that that creates collective ownership of a new or improved process.  When the right projects are identified and optimized, the right change management approach can be executed to influence the right people, leading to meaningful outcomes for the business, and freeing up more time to engage on strategic matters.

In this program, attendees will:

  • Dig deeper into process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies;
  • Learn how process improvement and change management will enable a clearer path to the right projects on which to work;
  • Understand the "how" to utilize both internal and external resources to push through change.

Authority, confidence, decisiveness, integrity and vision — these are attributes of that elusive but sought-after quality 'gravitas'. But what exactly is gravitas? And can we learn to project it in board meetings, client presentations and day-to-day staff interactions?

What You Will Learn

Gravitas: Voice and Presence is an interactive 90 minute workshop led by David Pope from All Voice Talent. It aims to raise awareness of how voice and physical presence can be used to project gravitas and covers:

  • What constitutes "gravitas"
  • What a voice with gravitas sounds like
  • Using the science of the voice to speak with gravitas
  • How speakers use vocal variety to project gravitas
  • The crucial importance of non-verbals: posture, gesture and expression

Using audio and video samples, as well as interactive group exercises, this workshop will give participants a chance to explore ways of using their voice and physical presence to project gravitas.

Please note that this session will not be recorded and seats are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.
