The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Drew Eckl & Farnham, LLP  whose Partner, Sandra Cho, and Christina Jay, Senior Counsel at BlueLinx Corporation, will present
Inside Out – Casual Discussion Between In-house and Outside Counsels About Effectively Controlling Exposure in Workers’ Compensation Claims”.  A simple oversight or mistake at the very outset can spiral into very expensive and lengthy workers’ compensation claims for employers.  An engaging discussion between the presenters will offer tips to mitigate risk and loss and explore how collaboration between legal and human resources can be helpful, as well as other ideas for protecting the competitive edge of your business.  Working knowledge of this area can be important for any in-house legal generalist.

Thanks to Drew Eckl, the CLE lunch program is complimentary for the first 40 ACC members who register on-line. Thereafter, ACC Georgia will maintain a waiting list for others who wish to attend in case of cancellations.  A CLE credit of one (1) hour is being applied for, and if approved, will be submitted to the Georgia State Bar for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

While we understand that some "no shows" are unavoidable, we kindly ask that you please consider our speakers and hosts who have spent a considerable amount of time and resources to put this event on for you before deciding not to attend. Good attendance helps ensure that ACC Georgia can continue to offer CLE programming and networking events at no cost to our ACC Georgia members. If you need to cancel, we ask for 48 hours’ notice to georgia@accglobal.com.  ACC Georgia reserves the right to charge a fee for attendees who do not cancel.

If you have any questions, please contact Connie Swindell-Harding at georgia@accglobal.com.

Our panel will address five pipelines for talent that many organizations are beginning to assess for the first time.  These pipelines, untested for many employers, bring new legal challenges.  We will identify the challenges and propose practical solutions.

1.           Recruit/hire/train individuals with disabilities
2.           Recruit/hire/train individuals with criminal history
3.           Recruit/hire/train individuals with military service
4.           Recruit/hire/train individuals returning to the workplace
5.           Recruit/hire/train individuals working remotely

With the legal problems understood and solved, your organization can be prepared to make use of talent acquisition methods that will improve your position in this worker shortage era.
