Tips and Tricks When Implementing a Contract Management Platform and other Legal Technology

Lawyers are not always the best at adopting technology, even when it may help the legal department serve the business.  In this learning session, Foster Sayers, GC and Chief Evangelist at Pramata, will share his experiences in how to evaluate and implement contract management technology.  Foster will share best practices for how to identify and develop the right technology solution for your company, and lead a discussion on how different solutions may apply to your specific situations. You'll leave with a "template" for successful legal tech projects, including the framework for getting the business to not only invest in but also commit to adopting the technology.

Register below.  Webinar dial-in information will be sent 24 hours in advance.

Please join us for a full-day, in-person conference that will address the key issues a new general counsel or small law department lawyer will face in their role. Learn to uncover and tackle challenges within a variety of subject areas so you can be successful within your department and your company.

The In-House Primer will give in-house counsel an opportunity to attend six CLE sessions and hear from subject matter experts. Learn what you need to know and when to call outside assistance. In addition, at the end of the day we will host a Happy Hour on the terrace of the Westwood Country Club.  You will be able to meet the panelists and network with colleagues.

If you are a GC or CLO, we'd love to have you to join us for our next IN-PERSON GC/CLO Lunch Club gathering of 2022 where Lisa Fleischer, Chief Legal Officer of DeLage Landen Financial Services, will lead a discussion on Building a Legal Dream Team:  A Sharing of Best Practices for Hiring, Developing, and Retaining Great People.

One of the biggest challenges for any GC is building a team that delivers top notch legal advice, is a business partner, treats each other with trust and respect, and takes on new areas of responsibility - all while maintaining a positive attitude.  So how should you approach the hiring process?  Keep your existing team engaged?  Manage toxic team members?  This CLO Roundtable will share best practices about leadership, team building, and making hard decisions.  We look forward to seeing you there!

There is no charge for GC/CLO chapter members to attend this luncheon, but pre-registration is required.

Big data has become an engine of commerce as well as fuel to accelerate the innovation of new, artificial intelligence-powered products and services.  From autonomous vehicles, to predictive algorithms to targeted marketing, companies across industries rely on big data to support their growth and development.  However, the reliance on the collection and processing of large amounts of data comes with risks, as the legal landscape evolves to regulate and impose limitations on companies’ rights to use data-driven products and services.

The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Polsinelli whose attorneys, Brennan Carmody, Liz Harding and Leslie F. Spasser will present “Big Data and Privacy:  Emerging Issues”.  This panel will focus on recent case law and regulatory developments relating to the use of big data in three areas:  geolocation, artificial intelligence and biometric authentication.  Our speakers will discuss the use cases for tools and applications that employ these technologies as well as emerging issues and trends that in-house counsel should be aware of as they advise their clients on how to take advantage of the benefits and mitigate the risks associated with big data and the tools and applications it powers.

Please note this is an outdoor in person event limited to 15 members. Join us for the discussion on everything litigation.
