May 24, 2023 | 12 - 1 PM CDT |1.00 Hrs CLE (TX) | Zoom - Webinar

Join us for a program that will explore recent pay transparency/equity legislative trends and litigation, and examine what’s to come, including new proposed legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The topics will include current and anticipated pay disclosure/transparency laws, developments in equal pay litigation and applicable defenses, and compliance best practices for multi-state employers. Seyfarth attorneys will moderate a panel featuring in-house counsel.

Get ready for ACC Austin's Q2 Tech Law networking event! In May, we will be meeting for lunch at Culinary Dropout in the Domain.

WHAT IS IT?
This tech law community will involve a series of 4 networking events throughout 2023 for Austin in-house attorneys in the tech industry.

WHO IS IT FOR?
We know that many of our members will find these events appealing and interesting. We ask that our members who work in the tech industry or are seeking a move to tech be given first opportunity to register. The attendance at this event is capped at 40. If you would like to be included but do not work in tech, please email austin@accglobal.com to be added to the waiting list! RSVP soon - these events fill up fast!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Food and drinks will be provided by our sponsor, Latham & Watkins. The focus of this event will be networking and enjoying some time out of the house or office with like-minded attorneys experiencing the same challenges.

Please join us for a lively discussion with our panel of General Counsels and senior legal department leaders as we discuss the GC's role in privacy and concerns related to AI tools like ChatGPT. Our panel will also discuss the path to the GC role and other relevant topics.

Do you have a question for the panelists? Be sure to include it with your registration. As this is an interactive event, attendees will also be able to ask questions directly to the panelists.

PANELISTS:

  • Stacie Herron, Chief Legal Officer, Keller Williams
  • Marc Katz, General Counsel, Hypergiant
  • Emily McCoy, General Counsel, Dayforward

Please join us for a lively in-person panel discussion around defining the associated risks, educating the first line of defense, ratcheting up the third line of defense, and preparing for materially increased investigation activities, enforcement activities, and related litigation:

•    What industries/products/services are impacted, and how do these risks manifest?
•    How should corporate compliance programs be updated?
•    What is the regulator perspective around individual accountability and executive compensation?
•    Key enforcement actions and lessons learned
•    Preparing to investigate, disclose, and remediate allegations of non-compliance
