The State of Pay Transparency Laws and Pay Equity Litigation in 2023 and What’s to Come Going Forward

Join us for a program that will explore recent pay transparency/equity legislative trends and litigation, and examine what’s to come, including new proposed legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The topics will include current and anticipated pay disclosure/transparency laws, developments in equal pay litigation and applicable defenses, and compliance best practices for multi-state employers. Seyfarth attorneys will moderate a panel featuring in-house counsel.

This tech law community will involve a series of 4 networking events throughout 2023 for Austin in-house attorneys in the tech industry.

We know that many of our members will find these events appealing and interesting. We ask that our members who work in the tech industry or are seeking a move to tech be given first opportunity to register. The attendance at this event is capped at 40. Food and drinks will be provided by our sponsor, Latham & Watkins. The focus of this event will be networking and enjoying some time out of the house or office with like-minded attorneys experiencing the same challenges.

Disability Leave and Accommodations Deep Dive: Applications in Action

This program provides an overview of leave and accommodation laws under federal law. Hypothetical situations and mock interactive process meetings are used to review application of leave and accommodation laws, including assessing the legal risk associated with certain handling, questions that can and cannot be asked, when to request a fitness for duty, and alternate accommodations.

Fact versus Fiction: The truth about what’s preventing your business from effective employee performance reviews. Every business struggles with consistent, productive performance reviews. This session is designed to help you improve this critical communication whether your process needs to revamped entirely or just fine-tuned.
