With the rise in pay transparency and pay reporting laws (including two new laws in Washington, D.C. and Maryland), class action lawsuits, and individual lawsuits, employers need to ensure they are in compliance with a patchwork of new laws and consider whether and how they will communicate their pay philosophy.
In this session we will cover changes from this past year in state pay equity, transparency, and data reporting laws. We will also briefly discuss developments in test cases and litigation.
DMV employers will want to join this session for a discussion of best practices and recommendations for navigating all of these issues, including the new D.C. and Maryland requirements, and to learn practical tips for reviewing and improving pay equity. Carson H. Sullivan, Partner, Claire Saba Murphy, Associate - Employment Law Department at Paul Hastings LLP, and Lesley Marlin, Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment at FINRA.

What the AI priorities of the second Trump administration are likely to be, and what it means for federal government enforcement and regulation,
What the recently passed laws in Colorado and Illinois mean for employers nationwide who are seeking to use AI,
What California's recent regulatory attempts on AI mean for businesses and,
A preview of key legislative and regulatory efforts happening next year.
