The rise of social media continues to create legal risks for advertisers as they increasingly rely on the power and importance of influencers for brand success. Kate Dennis Nye, Neal Gerber Eisenberg Intellectual Property partner, and Katie Dunne, Assistant General Counsel at Crate & Barrel, will discuss trends in social media marketing campaigns, the risks, and methods of managing and mitigating risk.
A media expert and counsel who've had experience in media interaction will discuss when "no comment" might be the best answer to a press inquiry and what to do when it isn't. Discussion also will cover how to make that decision, what kind of messages are effective and how to send effective messages.
It is critical that employers respond promptly and thoroughly to employee complaints of harassment, discrimination or other unlawful workplace conduct.
