Kate Dennis Nye, Neal Gerber Eisenberg Intellectual Property partner, and Katie Dunne, Assistant General Counsel at Crate & Barrel, will discuss trends in social media marketing campaigns, the risks, and methods of managing and mitigating risk.

Kate’s practice encompasses a broad range of intellectual property and advertising matters. She regularly works with clients to review and vet marketing material, including clearing promotional taglines and ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and best practices. She counsels clients on trademark clearance and strategy, including assisting them with filing new trademark applications, maintaining and enforcing their trademark portfolios worldwide, and negotiating complex IP licensing agreements and marketing services agreements.
Katie Dunne, Assistant General Counsel, Crate & Barrel Holdings, Inc.
Katie is the Assistant General Counsel at Crate & Barrel Holdings, Inc. As a member of a small-but-mighty legal team, Katie works on a variety of matters, primarily supporting the Marketing and eCommerce groups and leading the company's privacy efforts. Prior to joining Crate in 2019, Katie was a senior associate at Latham & Watkins, where she worked in the White Collar practice group. She earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, with a certificate in transnational studies and Pro Bono Distinction, and her bachelor's degree from University of Illinois, summa cum laude.
