Many federal agencies are creating regulations for privacy and cybersecurity, with Notices of Proposed Rulemaking coming out every few months. They do not seem to be coordinated with state efforts and may contradict other agency regulations and law enforcement. This session will review some of these new regulations, highlight contradictions, and explore possible ways to proceed if your organization is subject to contradictory requirements.

Attorneys Greg Fayard and Paul Cardinale of Cardinale Fayard and the Medical Defense Law Group in Sacramento will provide an hour of MCLE credit regarding the newest subject matter required by the California State Bar: Technology and the Law. Mr. Fayard and Mr. Cardinale will survey how artificial intelligence technologies can assist California attorneys in their practices in a variety of practice areas.
