Adam Charnes will begin with an overview of the Supreme Court's 2022-2023 Term. He will then discuss the major cases decided by the Court during this term. He will conclude with a preview of the important cases on the Supreme Court's docket during the upcoming term.

Topics discussed will include potential antitrust issues with proposed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, including in Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the DOJ with a focus on risk mitigation.  Related topics of market definition, competitive impact analysis, responding to Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) and subpoenas for documents and testimony issued to industry participants will also be covered. Attendees will also receive a refresh on anti-trust issues including price fixing, bid-rigging, customer allocation, resale price maintenance, exclusive contracts, tying, bundling, boycotts, monopolization and attempted monopolization brought under Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, California’s Cartwright Act, New York’s Donnelly Act, and other state competition laws.
