Sheppard Mullin and the ACC San Diego are proud to partner with San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP), and the University of San Diego’s Nonprofit Institute to host a free legal compliance clinic for local nonprofit organizations.
Attorneys are needed to meet in teams with nonprofit clients and walk them through SDVLP’s Nonprofit Compliance Assessment Tool—a checklist that helps nonprofit organizations issue spot and navigate the complex landscape of state and federal regulations. No subject matter expertise is required, and a one-hour CLE training will be provided to all volunteers prior to the clinic. This is your chance to use your legal skills to empower San Diego nonprofits, helping them build a stronger, more secure future for their vital missions.
It is recommended to participate in the CLE training - November 3rd at 12:00 pm - before attending the legal compliance clinic. The training will be available via Zoom or in-person and lunch will be served for those who are able to attend in person. For anyone who is not able to attend the training on November 3rd, the recording of the training will be made available in advance of the clinic.
