Register to join our ACC NCR Lawyers Have Heart Virtual Team and run/walk with us in Richmond, VA.  Meet up with other ACC NCR Members in Greater VA. Family, friends and pets are welcome, as well as walkers and runners alike. We will have coffee and snacks at the start and then you are welcome to walk or run as a group.

The Virginia Capital Trail is a fully paved, multi-use trail that runs through 4 jurisdictions (City of Richmond, Henrico County, Charles City County, and James City County) with several attractions along the way. The meet up point, and proposed route offer a short round trip along the Richmond riverfront.  We plan to follow this this 2.4 mile route

When you register and join our ACC NCR LHH Team, select the virtual option. There is a $10 fee that goes towards the American Heart Association. There is a suggested fundraising donation goal of $250. This is optional. More instructions are included in the registration confirmation.

“Mediation: Use It or Lose It – Don’t Waste Your Company’s Resources with an Ineffective Process”

Mediation can be a powerful tool for resolving corporate disputes efficiently—but only when used effectively. This CLE program will equip corporate counsel with strategies to maximize mediation’s value, including identifying the right timing, preparing strategically, and avoiding common pitfalls that waste time and resources. Participants will gain insights on selecting the right mediator, structuring a productive process, and ensuring mediation aligns with business objectives. Learn how to turn mediation into a competitive advantage rather than an expensive detour.

  • Regan Safier, Esq.,  Kline & Specter, P.C.

In today’s rapidly changing Government Contracting environment, it is crucial for contractors to understand the immediate actions they can take to protect their interests in the event work is stopped, changed, or terminated.  Panelists from HKA’s Government Contracting practice will discuss what they are seeing in today’s Government contracting environment and review immediate actions contractors can take to help maximize cost recovery and protect their interests in the event of a work stoppage, change order, or contract termination.
