Joint Decisions: Managing Marijuana in the Workplace

As employers continue to wrestle with multi state compliance issues, the rise of state marijuana legalization laws have provided yet another challenge for employers to navigate. Join us to discuss the ever evolving nature of workplace marijuana issues, including the state of legalization laws and separate but related issues such as disability discrimination/accommodation, workplace safety, and off duty conduct considerations. We will also discuss the topic from a local and regional viewpoint, with an emphasis on the looming challenges for southeastern and Georgia employers.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the new DC Advisory Committee formed to respond to interests for a strong and vibrant ACC in-house network and related activities specific to Washington DC. 

The DC Advisory Committee’s mission is to establish programming and engagement for ACC NCR members in DC and strengthen and advocate for the DC in-house community. 

Please join us for a micro-networking lunch hosted by this newly formed committee. Join us to learn more or socialize and enjoy lunch with other ACC NCR members in the area.

  • 1:15 p.m.           Client Meeting Wrap Up - Summary of Issues Identified, Lunch

  • Each meeting with a nonprofit organization will include Chick-fil-A, ACC-Georgia Chapter, and Troutman Pepper attorney and legal participants.
  • Attorneys and legal participants will be given a checklist to use during the nonprofit meeting and other materials prior to the event. Attorneys and legal participants should bring laptops to use during the CLE and client meeting.
  • Attorneys and legal participants will identify, and not necessarily address, legal issues facing the nonprofit. 
  • The CLE presentation will provide training on the issues covered in the checklist. 2.0 hours of Professionalism CLE credit hours will be applied for in Georgia
  • Volunteer attorneys and other legal participants will have the opportunity to work with the nonprofits on the issues that are identified during the Legal Check Up.
