Join us to review the major government contracts developments of 2023. From implementation of the Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act (FASCSA), to updated small business and joint venture qualifications, to the ongoing evolution of cybersecurity compliance obligations, it was another busy and dynamic year for government contractors. We also saw important decisions relating to the False Claims Act, jurisdiction and standing in bid protests and contract appeals, and contractor IP rights.

The panel will review the key cases and laws and regulations from 2023, as well as look ahead to how the major events of 2023 are likely to impact government contracts law into 2024 and beyond.

Presented by Greg Jacobs, Erin Felix, and Holly Roth, Shareholders with Polsinelli P.C., Jessica Lehman, Government Contracts Counsel at Verizon, and Virginia Robinson, General Counsel at Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation.

Increasingly, investigations are a significant part of the work of general counsels, HR professionals, and their teams. Our panel will present the approach, roles, responsibilities, and best practices associated with responding to a workplace investigation that unfolds in real time, with a particular emphasis on how to balance diversity, equity, and inclusion considerations during and after the investigation.  This interactive discussion also will address the challenges in-house attorneys, HR professionals, and key members of the C-Suite may face as they advise their companies on responding to crisis events that have direct consequences for their various stakeholders and the critical nature of building diverse investigation teams.

Join us as we explain the legal developments impacting employers in 2023 and highlight what employers can expect in 2024. We will cover new federal, state and local legislation, and Supreme Court cases and other relevant decisions. We will also discuss important trends and provide tangible takeaways and strategies for in-house counsel.

Presented by John Remy, Teresa Burke Wright and Alyson Guyan, Principals with Jackson Lewis P.C., Elisa Eberhardt, Employment Counsel at The Knot Worldwide and Frank Connolly, Vice President and Senior Counsel, Operations at Hilton.

You might have heard the term neurodiversity and perhaps wondered, “What does it really mean?” Neurodiversity has many definitions, but it generally refers to natural differences in the human brain regarding sociability, learning, attention, mood and other mental functions.  Neurodiversity includes conditions such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and Tourette syndrome.

Please join David Burick and Evita Nwosu-Sylvester from Freddie Mac as they walk us through an introduction on Neurodiversity and its impact in the workplace. They will also leave us with resources and information to inspire action.
