ACC Houston Social at Puttshack
October 5, 2023 | 4 pm - 7 pm

TEE UP. EAT UP. DRINK UP.

At Puttshack, they have rewritten the rules of mini golf – pairing modern tech with crazy courses and cool vibes with game faces for one heck of a good time.

It is tech-infused mini golf, which means they have thrown out the paper and pencils and replaced them with a super fun new scoring system.

The balls track your gameplay and you can earn (or lose) points based on how you play. This isn’t just a new way to play mini golf, it’s the only way! ...and remember to wear comfortable shoes!

This event has been rescheduled for November 9, 2023

ACC Houston Best Practices Practice Group CLE
Best Practices in Optimizing Your Jury Verdict
Reptile Theory in Trial and the Difference Between Winning Big and Losing Big.

November 9, 2023 | 11:30 am - 1:00 pm | Kiran's

Why are we seeing a proliferation of nuclear verdicts? Reptile theory. Plaintiffs know how to use it and companies don’t know how to deal with it.  Learn in this presentation best practices for optimizing your jury verdict, like how to counter reptile theory as a defendant, and how you can use it powerfully when you are the plaintiff, regardless of what type of case you are in.

Join your ACC Chicago colleagues at Chicago's most elegant wine bar and one of the nation's few dedicated champagne bars!

Join ACC St. Louis and Ogletree Deakins for a 1-hour CLE on Leave Accommodations Outside of the FMLA.

The federal Pregnant Workers Fairness Act requires accommodations for normal pregnancies and became effective June 27, 2023. In combination with the ADAAA amendments (which make it easier to prove disabilities, even for temporary conditions), these developments arguably have extended FMLA protections to employees immediately upon the onset of employment, without any length or service requirement and potentially without a 12-week limitation on leave.

Join this session for a discussion of leaves as an accommodation even without meeting FMLA eligibility requirements.

We look forward to seeing you IN-PERSON on Monday October 30th!
