Evolution and Revolution in Executive Compensation

Presented by: Dana Thrasher, Partner

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM via Zoom Webinar
The Zoom link for the meeting will be sent to all registered attendees via email on Monday, May 25, 2020.

 Program Description:

Join our May 27th CLE program as Dana Thrasher, who specializes in employment law and executive compensation issues, presents the “Evolution and Revolution of Executive Compensation.”

Changes in the tax environment and competition for high-level talent are challenges for employers. Companies must offer the most attractively designed employment packages and innovative incentive plans. To recruit and retain top executives, employers need attractive incentive and supplemental benefit plans. Keeping all of the aspects of executive compensation in compliance with both federal and state laws is critical. We will discuss what is cutting-edge in executive compensation and the impact of various laws on compensation design.

 Topics Include:

  • Recent changes in tax environment (10 min.)
  • Legal risks involved when drafting executive compensation plans (15 min.)
  • Best practices in drafting cutting-edge executive compensation plans (15 min.)
  • Staying compliant with state and federal laws impacting executive compensation plans (20 min.)

We encourage members to invite an associate or colleague that may be interested in joining the ACC Mid-America Chapter. The Association of Corporate Counsel offers numerous benefits and resources to in-house counsel including CLE offerings and networking opportunities and we look forward to sharing that information with others in the field.
