Drawing from her interviews with over 50 highly successful women, Kathryn will offer simple yet transformative insights on achieving long-term success without losing yourself along the way.

This event is focused on growth, networking, and actionable career advice. Enjoy light bites, cocktails, and meaningful conversations with fellow professionals.

Join ACC NCR Community Service and Maryland Advisory Committee for an extraordinary volunteer opportunity at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary, a beautiful 400-acre refuge in Poolesville, Maryland, that provides lifelong care for over 200 rescued farm animals, including cows, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and turkeys.

This special event includes a guided tour where you'll meet the animals and learn their stories, followed by hands-on volunteer activities. Tasks will vary from active, strength-based work to lighter, low-impact options. Families are welcome—children must be ages 16+ to participate, and students can earn community service credit.

We will provide delicious snacks for participants. To respect the sanctuary’s mission, we kindly ask that any food brought be vegan.

Please note: The sanctuary has unpaved paths, so wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Attendance will be capped due to the size of the sanctuary.  We ask that all participants donate $10 directly to the Sanctuary to participate.  Information on how to do this is included when you register.  All donations are non-refundable, but will be applied if the event is rescheduled.

Before registering, please check out Poplar Spring's website for more information about the farm and what to expect when you visit.

By registering for this ACC NCR event, you acknowledge that you have read ACC NCR’s Code of Conduct for Events and agree to comply with its terms.
