Join us for a lunchtime webinar on how to navigate procedural conditions in insurance policies. This session will feature practical tips to ensure compliance and maximize recovery.

CLE Topic:
Insurance policies frequently contain various procedural conditions purporting to impose requirements or deadlines with which the insured must comply in order to obtain coverage.  Insurers often argue that an insured’s non-compliance with such policy conditions can limit or negate the insured’s coverage for a loss or claim.  Consequently, it is important that insured companies—and their in-house attorneys—understand policy conditions, take steps to comply, and know how to respond to adverse positions by insurers.  In this presentation, insurance recovery attorneys from McGuireWoods LLP will explain common insurance policy conditions and requirements, provide tips to ensure compliance, and outline the circumstances in which policy conditions may be waived, excused, or otherwise be unenforceable.

Panelists:
Shaun Crosner, Partner, McGuireWoods LLP
Christopher Pasich, Partner, McGuireWoods LLP

The U.S. Department of Justice has placed cybersecurity at the forefront of its enforcement priorities, introducing new initiatives that significantly impact companies and in-house counsel. In this session, our speakers will provide an insider’s view of DOJ’s recently announced Data Security Program, the Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative, and related efforts aimed at strengthening information security compliance.

Through real-world case studies—including the Georgia Tech enforcement action and others—they will illustrate how DOJ is approaching enforcement, what lessons can be drawn, and how in-house counsel can proactively mitigate risk. Attendees will come away with a clear understanding of DOJ’s evolving expectations, emerging areas of exposure, and practical strategies to prepare their organizations for heightened scrutiny in the cybersecurity arena.

Presented by Townsend Bourne, Partner and ADG Co-Chair, Nikole Snyder, Senior Associate at Sheppard Mullin, Sherry Truong, Lead Privacy Counsel at Asana, and Daniel Enos, In-House Counsel.
