From Algorithms to Ethics: In-House Counsel's Guide to AI Integration

This Ethics CLE program on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in downtown Minneapolis offers a comprehensive primer on risks and benefits associated with the integration of AI tools in legal practice, highlighting both the opportunities and the ethical challenges inherent.

As AI becomes increasingly prevalent in the legal sector, it's imperative for in-house counsel to stay abreast of these technological advances. This course will provide an overview of the current AI tools, delve into the legal implications of using such technologies, and explore the ethical boundaries within which the in-house counsel must operate.

CLE participants will gain insights into how AI is transforming the legal landscape, including case studies on AI's application in various legal scenarios. The course will address key ethical issues, such as discoverability of AI data, maintaining client confidentiality, ensuring unbiased legal advice, and the implications of AI on professional responsibility and decision-making. A significant focus will be on understanding the ethical guidelines and standards that govern the use of AI in legal practice.
