ACC Northeast OhioAttendees will learn about the current state of the H‑1B visa program, with a focus on the March H‑1B lottery and whether the program remains a viable option for employers seeking to hire skilled foreign professionals.
The speakers will explain the new lottery methodology and offer strategic insight into which applicants may have stronger odds of selection. They will also clarify the widely discussed $100,000 H‑1B filing fee, including when it applies and when it does not.
Furthermore, the speakers will address broader trends in employment‑based immigration, including Trump‑era travel bans, adjudication holds, and the administration’s enforcement strategy. Discussion will cover implications for employers of foreign nationals, such as I‑9 compliance and potential ICE worksite visits.
