This webinar will address the practical and ethical issues that arise for attorneys serving on nonprofit Boards of Directors, including:

 

  • An overview of the structure and filing requirements for 501(c)(3) charitable organizations
  • Roles, responsibilities, and fiduciary obligations of board members
  • Ethical considerations for attorneys,  such as: competence, documenting dual roles, conflicts of interest, attorney-client privilege, liability coverage, and managing disputes within the board
