Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Charlotte

The latter half of 2024 and the first half of 2025 have ushered in some significant changes for employers. Key judicial opinions have also helped shift the employment landscape. The U.S. Supreme Court has clarified the standard of proof to demonstrate employees are exempt from overtime under federal law, while other courts continue to grapple with how federal regulations should be applied in a post-Chevron world.

Join Keith Weddington and Tory Summey of Parker Poe who will provide our regularly well-attended annual update on Employment law and an overview of the current legal challenges facing employers. They will review recent case law developments from the U.S. Supreme Court, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and North Carolina state courts.  They will also address the ever-changing landscape of executive orders, regulations, and enforcement priorities at the federal agency level, including the NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, FTC, and DOJ and how they impact private employers and their workforces.

All registration links are located in our weekly email.
