Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC AustraliaPhoenix House is focused on delivering long term, holistic support to at risk young people, to help re-engage with education, and become learn ready, life ready and work ready. Providing life skills training and development, holistic support that ‘wraps around’ a young person and harnessing their talent means the reliance on supported accommodation is reduced and enhances the opportunities for these young people to contribute to their community.
What the volunteer day will look like:
- 9:00am arriving as a group at 10 Holtermann Street Crows Nest and signing in.Each volunteer must undertake a Rapid Antigen Test (provided by Phoenix House) with a short induction on our mission provided whilst waiting for the results of the tests
- 9:30am Commence cooking a three-course meal for clients and their case managers
- 12:30pm lunch to be served. Volunteers are invited to join the clients and our staff for lunch
- 1:30 - 2:30pm special session from Phoenix House clinical therapists about Phoenix House and mental health and wellbeing
Menu and food will be provided by Phoenix House.

Notes
*Please note that it is mandatory for participants to have a Working with Children Check completed. This is free for volunteers, but will require you to physically attend Service NSW to provide proof of identity.
*Please note that registrations are limited to 3 individuals per organisation due to the small group.
