OVERVIEW

This program will discuss how changes in society are impacting the workplace. Particularly, this program will
explore how federal and state legislation following the #MeToo movement and racial protests has impacted
the ability for employers to maintain confidentiality when settling sexual harassment and discriminations
lawsuits. Also, will touch on how pay equity statutes are changing employers’ hiring and promotion processes.
Finally, will touch on what New York and New Jersey’s recent passage of adult use of cannabis impacts
employer’s drug testing policies during the hiring process and beyond.
