The most common challenges for employers: (1) they differ depending on state, and even locality; and (2) states and municipalities continue to pass new laws and change existing laws – seemingly on a monthly basis. This webinar will start by providing an overview of the background check laws applicable in our region. Then, it will examine two of the most noteworthy changes to background check laws in 2021 – from Illinois and New York – to provide insights on some of the more restrictive recent trends that could be coming to our area.
