Our panelists will discuss leveraging effective AI governance to select the right vendors, successfully onboard third-party AI, and considerations for vendor management. The panelists will also provide practical tips on deploying methods and strategies that are mindful of risks that could lead to litigation as well as considerations to position a company to withstand regulatory inquiry.
In partnership with the D&I Legal Taskforce at Chanel and Chanel Community, we are welcoming graduating seniors to the Chanel Corporate office to help them prepare for their summer jobs and internships. The Legal Outreach educational program serves low-income, mostly minority, and/or first generation urban youth from underserved neighborhoods in New York City.
12-13 volunteers will work with students 1-to-1 on topics such as:
Creating a Targeted Resume: Students will learn the dos and don’ts of developing a resume that will be attractive to potential employers. Students will be able to create their own standout resumes after reviewing sample resumes and receiving tips for highlighting their skills from facilitators.
Writing a Compelling Cover Letter: Students will learn how to craft cover letters that will gain the attention of potential employers. They will review examples of various cover letters to understand the structure and how to clearly and concisely demonstrate in writing that their skills are a match for a company’s needs.
Preparing for the Interview and Follow Through: Students will learn the steps to preparing for an interview and how to place themselves in the best position to receive a job offer through post-interview follow-up.

ACC Northeast and Pierce Atwood are pleased to present our next partnered webinar to dive into Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.
In-house counsel must understand the legal risk of new-to-market AI solutions. Using a real-world hypothetical, Pierce Atwood attorneys Tim Fisher, Vivek Rao and Ariel Pardee will present a contract negotiation between an AI technology supplier and its consumer-facing enterprise customer. We will describe the preferred first positions each side is likely to put forward on topics such as:
Infringement;
Representations and warranties (including with respect to explainability, bias, transparency, accuracy, and privacy);
Ongoing model risk management and governance.
We will then discuss how, during counter, in-house counsel can unpack the AI solution’s design to unlock more nuanced approaches to these topics and avoid negotiation stalemates.

The Community Service Committee has partnered with the DC Advisory Committee for a volunteer trash cleanup to celebrate World Ocean Day hosted by the Anacostia Riverkeeper.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome, including families and friends of ACC NCR members. This event is rain or shine. All equipment is provided. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty and protect you from the brush.
