Jackson Lewis P.C. attorneys are excited to host an upcoming CLE program with ACC NYC.

On the second day of the new administration, President Trump signed Executive Order 14173, “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity,” significantly impacting federal contractors, grant recipients and private employers.  For federal contractors and subcontractors, the EO rescinds a nearly 60 year-old requirement to comply with equal employment/affirmative action obligations.  More broadly, the EO has implications for all employers who engage in diversity, equity and inclusion activities.  This practical program will provide tools and strategies to help employers mitigate risk and navigate this new landscape.

We look forward to engaging with you on these important issues.

The variety of work that Corporate Counsel attorneys do presents multiple challenges (both positive and negative.)  The ways in which we cope with the difficult challenges/demands of our work have a direct effect on our health, overall well-being, and our resilience to handle future challenges. The question is not whether you will cope with the negative stress you encounter, the only question is how you will cope.

This webinar will identify healthy coping mechanisms within various domains, discuss strategies for matching coping mechanisms with sources of stress, highlight ways to evaluate the quality of a coping mechanisms, and provide suggestions for how to increase your investment in your well-being that will have the most significant impact on your professional (and personal) resilience.

ACC Northeast and Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, Inc. are pleased to offer another webinar to help our members balance near term work pressure with long term health and happiness.

Dr. Shawn Healy will once again present invaluable information and guide us towards adopting practices that will improve overall well-being and happiness.

Sign-up below.  Registrants will receive login credentials prior to the webinar.

THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM

With the return of the Trump administration, employers and organizations should prepare for a multitude of changes in the labor and employment industry. It is expected that President Trump’s recent executive orders and federal initiatives will have a significant impact on the workplace when it comes to issues such as immigration, DEI, and labor relations.

Join us on March 25, 2025, where we will discuss President Trump’s executive orders, federal initiatives and other changes to anticipate and what employers and organizations can do to prepare.

Topics include:

  • Recent U.S. Supreme Court cases impacting the workplace
  • Agency and judicial changes
  • Enhanced immigration enforcement, including the impact on I-9 compliance
  • Shifting priorities at the EEOC
  • Roll back of DEI efforts
  • Impact on NLRB cases, General Counsel memos and priorities
  • Potential modifications to wage and hour regulations

ACC Northeast’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Goodwin Procter are pleased to offer our members another opportunity for Executive Coaching.

Following the success of last Fall's Executive Coaching Program, this session will focus on how you can increase your effectiveness by adopting helpful habits to achieve your goals, improving your approach to prioritization, and applying coaching principles to your communications.

Featuring small group coaching exercises, these skill building techniques will raise awareness, allow for self-reflection and help identify action items for personal and professional growth.

Please join us for some learning and networking!

Please join the ACC Georgia Marketing and Advertising Member Interest Group for a Trivia Night on Tuesday, March 18 at Kilpatrick. We will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with plenty of food, beverages, and questions that are not just focused on “green” advertising (but some that are).

We will visit the
Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site, which includes a 20-minute orientation film "Carry On," exhibits in the Visitor Center, and a tour of Walker's home.

As noted on the website, “Walker devoted her life to civil rights advancement, economic empowerment, and educational opportunities for Jim Crow-era African Americans and women. As a bank president, newspaper editor, and fraternal leader, Walker served as an inspiration of pride and progress. Today, Walker’s home is preserved as a tribute to her enduring legacy of vision, courage, and determination.”

Following the visit, we will gather at 12:30 pm for brunch at
ML Steak Modern Chophouse (.4 miles away).

This event is a great opportunity to learn, connect, and have fun.  Best of all, it is family-friendly!  We encourage everyone to come out and be part of this wonderful experience.

Admission to the Historic Site is free. Guests will be responsible for their own brunch.
