The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Robbins Alloy Belinfante Littlefield LLC (“Robbins Firm”) whose partners, Josh Belinfante and Jeremy Littlefield, will present “Important Laws and Cases Impacting Businesses in Georgia”. This program will explore recent legislation and cases that should be on the radar of Georgia businesses.  This will be an opportunity for any entity doing business in Georgia to better understand the current landscape in areas such as tort reform, contracts, and state laws that impact licensing, permits, deference, and other aspects of doing business in Georgia.

This CLE program will explore common issues and challenges encountered when engaging technical consultants and experts both for litigation purposes as well as compliance support/counseling, and provide examples of best practices and typical pitfalls related to retaining technical consultants and experts.  The program will include exploring and addressing conflicts of interest that might arise from the technical consultant’s/expert’s work, and evaluate the ability to maintain privilege over the work that is performed. The program will present a summary of recent case law, provide model language for retention/engagement letters, and include a hypothetical scenario to explore these issues.
