Families are welcome! Bring your partner/spouse and your kids (infants - high school).

While we have a large tent, there will still be a limit to the number of people that can come. Reserve your spot now! And, if you aren't able to make it, please let us know asap so we can open up to other members and their families.

Food and drinks are provided! Attendees will also receive:

  • 1 parking pass per family
  • Trail of lights passes for each attendee
  • Early access to Trail of Lights at 6 PM (1 hour before the general public!)
ACC Austin is partnering with  American Gateways to help community members who are looking forward to achieving their American dream and becoming US citizens. Volunteers will be providing assistance with citizenship applications. No prior experience is necessary!

There will be a brief orientation on the day of the clinic, but all volunteers will be required to watch a training video before the day of the event. This video will be made available to all registrants a few days before the clinic.

Light breakfast and lunch will be served.

Remember when you were in law school and trying to figure out "what's next?" It was incredibly valuable to meet people further along in their legal careers and learn from their experiences. Here's your opportunity to return the favor.

ACC Austin is partnering with Texas law for a panel discussion. This panel will be geared toward students and discuss the path toward in-house and other career-stage appropriate topics.

At 5 PM, we will join the students for a happy hour and networking. Please come and encourage the next generation of lawyers to follow in your footsteps.

WHAT IS IT?
This tech law community will involve a series of 4 networking events throughout 2023 for Austin in-house attorneys in the tech industry.

WHO IS IT FOR?
We know that many of our members will find these events appealing and interesting. We ask that our members who work in the tech industry or are seeking a move to tech be given first opportunity to register. The attendance at this event is capped at 40. If you would like to be included but do not work in tech, please email austin@accglobal.com to be added to the waiting list! RSVP soon - these events fill up fast!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Food and drinks will be provided by our sponsor, Latham & Watkins. The focus of this event will be networking and enjoying some time out of the house or office with like-minded attorneys experiencing the same challenges.

In-house attorneys serve the unique role of both business and legal advisors, which creates special issues to be aware of related to preserving attorney-client privilege.

This program will cover common ways that attorney-client privilege is often lost, as well as practical tips for how to ensure privilege is protected in these various situations.

SPEAKERS:

Marisa Secco Giles, Partner, Vinson & Elkins, Austin, TX

Michelle Arishita, Counsel, Vinson & Elkins, Austin, TX

Since the early 1990’s, the creation of specialized “business courts” in the United States has expanded greatly. Texas has now joined the ranks of what some more accurately call “business programs or divisions” since they are not separate courts at all but rather divisions or programs established within existing trial level courts. And one size does not fit all. Is this new venue a better alternative to arbitration? Come learn about business courts and whether they are right for your company.

SPEAKERS:

Gaby Monahan, Litigation Partner | Munck Wilson Mandala, Austin, TX

Rob Linkin, Litigation Partner | Munck Wilson Mandala, Austin, TX
