Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets – The Pitfalls of Commencing Litigation without Following Best Practices

In the current economic climate, professionals are changing jobs at record rates. This increased employee mobility oftentimes arises in litigation, especially where the employee leaves for a competitor and takes valuable company trade secrets without authorization. The success of this litigation, however, is highly dependent upon a company following important best practices both before a case is filed and during its prosecution or defense.

This program will explore important lessons learned – sometimes the hard way – from recent state and federal rulings. Attendees will acquire a better understanding of some of the key pitfalls that can sink a trade secrets misappropriation case, and how companies can avoid them. The program will provide practical advice in an informal breakfast setting and the presenters welcome and encourage interactive questions and discussion points.

This is a virtual event! Please join for a great discussion led by Mindy Gulati.

DEI is not as simple as having a checklist to mark off actions so that you meet your goals; it is a composite of many consisten, intentional actions across an organization over time. So, what do attorneys need to know about DEI? Our DEI consultant, Mindy Gulati, will provide an overview of what attorneys should be aware of, what to focus on, and how to leverage their power.

GCs and legal teams have varying degrees of leverage and power depending on their organization. Mindy will present several case studies to outline what is possible in different environments.

30 minutes of this presentation will be dedicated to Q&A, so come ready to ask questions or discuss sticking points you're experiencing.
