Please join us for the ACC NCR Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Affinity Group lunch to celebrate Diwali! This gathering is a wonderful chance to connect with friends and colleagues while enjoying delicious food and celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights.  We will come together to recognize the rich traditions of this vibrant South Asian holiday, which symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.  As we savor traditional dishes and share stories, we will learn more about the customs that make Diwali special.

We invite everyone from the Asian community to join us, whether you identify as South Asian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, or have intersecting identities, or just want to join us for some good food and catching up.  We look forward to connecting with you!

Emotional Intelligence: The overlooked essential for workplace wellbeing

Who needs emotional intelligence (EI)? All of us. Emotional intelligence is an often-overlooked skill set that is foundational to wellbeing.  

 Join Shainna Ali, Ph.D, a nationally recognized mental health counselor, educator, and advocate, for a dynamic and interactive workshop focused on building and strengthening your emotional intelligence (EI). You will learn the 4 key components of EI, engage in reflective exercises, and gain tools to improve self-awareness, empathy, and communication.   

Through breakout discussions, interactive exercises, and practical tools, you’ll walk away with skills you can immediately apply to your professional and personal life.

This ACC Central Florida program is part of our Health & Wellness Initiative 2025, in partnership with the Winter Park Health Foundation /Center for Health & Wellbeing.
