ACC WPA members know workplace law is always evolving and it is challenging to be up to date on the latest developments. Join Fisher Phillips attorneys as they bring you the latest updates in areas such as safety, labor and accommodations. We'll also provide an hour of ethics content developed specifically for in-house counsel. Plan to spend the late afternoon /early evening gaining valuable insight and credit followed by cocktails, snacks and networking.

Disability Leave and Accommodations Deep Dive: Applications in Action

This program provides an overview of leave and accommodation laws under federal law. Hypothetical situations and mock interactive process meetings are used to review application of leave and accommodation laws, including assessing the legal risk associated with certain handling, questions that can and cannot be asked, when to request a fitness for duty, and alternate accommodations.

Fact versus Fiction: The truth about what’s preventing your business from effective employee performance reviews. Every business struggles with consistent, productive performance reviews. This session is designed to help you improve this critical communication whether your process needs to revamped entirely or just fine-tuned. Please join us to learn the most common misconceptions and negative consequences of ineffective performance reviews. During this session, you will learn tools you can easily implement to change the stigma of performance communications and eliminate the chasm between the values of the business and individual employee performance.

This presentation will cover steps that in-house lawyers can take to minimize, and handle if necessary, disputes that could result in litigation.
