Overview (Program Summary)

Like other members of society, lawyers have found themselves in hot water with the law—and with state bar authorities—due to some rather unusual and often shocking behaviors. From fraud and embezzlement to petty antics, assaults, and bizarre schemes and behaviors, the list of alleged and actual misconduct by lawyers—and judges—continues to grow. In this entertaining session, the speakers will share real-life scenarios that highlight actual and alleged transgressions, examine the Model Rules of Professional Conduct that are implicated (Rules 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 1.16, 1.7, 8.3, 8.4), and ensure attendees avoid a similar fate.

Presented in cooperation with Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.
