Attorney-Client Privilege for International In-House Counsel in the Age of AI
Seasoned attorneys will discuss new challenges facing in-house attorneys, including counsel's use of AI and issues with employees using AI to record or transcribe meetings. Panelists will also touch on other ongoing challenges for in-house counsel, including privilege issues surrounding investigations and the added wrinkle of cross-border work (with varying privileges across jurisdictions).

Ethics Jeopardy: Movie Edition
Join Norton Rose Fulbright for an engaging and interactive program using a Jeopardy-style game format to explore key principles of legal ethics through the lens of popular movies. Participants will test their knowledge of professional responsibility by answering questions tied to memorable films and storylines that highlight real-world ethical dilemmas faced by lawyers. Topics include conflicts of interest, competence, client communication, candor and professional conduct.

Three's A Crowd: Independent Counsel, Privilege and Ethics Surrounding the Tripartite Relationship
"Three's A Crowd" explores the unique ethical, strategic and privilege challenges that arise when insurance companies fund the defense but policyholders remain the true client. This presentation examines whether, when and why policyholders are entitled to independent defense counsel, how conflicts of interest affect defense, and how corporate counsel can successfully protect corporate interests, manage complex litigation and preserve privilege in the face of bet-the-company litigation.

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is a global bar association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel who work for and whose primary responsibility is providing legal advice to corporations, associations and other private-sector organizations. Accordingly, the ACC Houston Chapter reserves the right to limit attendance at any of its Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events to ACC Houston Chapter members or non-ACC chapter member in-house attorneys only. If you are not an in-house attorney and wish to attend a CLE event, you may only do so, space permitting, if you are accompanied by an in-house attorney from your company or organization.

Examples of permitted use of the Recordings include displaying the photographs as thumbnails on a ACC Houston website (e.g., www.acc.com/chapters/houst or acchouston.starchapter.com); utilizing the Recordings on ACC Houston Parties websites or print publications.

In addition, you understand that ACC Houston is not obligated to use the Recordings in any way. You agree that the rights granted herein are irrevocable. You further agree that you have no ownership rights in the Recordings and are due no royalties or other compensation whatsoever related to the Recordings.

By participating in the event, you affirm that you have the full power and authority to grant the rights and releases set forth herein.
