Overview (Program Summary)

With growing reliance and dependence on information technology and data, organizations have a responsibility to their clients, investors and employees to protect sensitive data and minimize disruption to operations and risks of data breach arising from a cyberattack.  The development of a Cyber Risk Management plan, understanding roles of the C-Suite and the Board in cyber risk strategy, aligning cybersecurity strategies with business goals, and implementing risk governance structures are important.  This session will discuss approaches to cyber risk management, the roles of management and the board, and applying risk management frameworks such as the three lines of defense model to effectively manage cyber risk.
